Ads platform manager helps marketers to connect their social marketing channels with Adroll and import their data from any external platform

Background

Retailers are increasingly relying on social media marketing to connect with customers and drive sales in the e-commerce space, making it a crucial channel. On average, marketers utilize approximately 10 to 15 different platforms to execute and oversee their advertising campaigns.

Marketers use about 5 – 10 different platforms on average to run and manage their ad campaigns

According to a report by Amplitude, 60% of Marketers use two or more analytics tools at any given time

Problem

Marketers at all skill levels employ various tools to execute and oversee their campaigns, and keeping up with evolving technologies requires ongoing learning and exploration.

Small business owners who handle their own marketing campaigns often struggle to find time to acquire the necessary skills to effectively utilize these tools.
Meanwhile, Adroll aims to enhance user engagement and adoption of their product suite.

As a starting point, here’s our “How Might We” (HMW) statement.

How might we facilitate the seamless creation and management of ad campaigns by marketers across various social media and web platforms?

Solution

By enabling the integration of users’ social media advertising platforms with Adroll, we can facilitate seamless creation and management of ad campaigns by marketers.

My Role

I led end to end design from ideation through final designs.

Impact

This project helped Adroll increase their metrics for revenue, user engagement and campaign creation.

User Research

I conducted generative user research with 27 participants, examining their activities across various social media platforms. Our aim was to determine

a)  Whether linking their social media accounts to Adroll would simplify campaign management for them.

b)  What specific features or functionalities they would desire as part of this integration.

After synthesizing the results from interviews, we found that;

Users desire the ability to not only view their social media campaigns within Adroll, but also have the capability to modify them.

Selecting campaign

First step in the process is to select a campaign that the user intends to create.

To guide the user find the right campaign, there are value props for every campaign that the user clicks on so they make the best decision

Second step is for the user to select all the channels they want to connect

The top section of this page ensures that users have all the information along with a step by step guided video on how to connect their channels

It also breaks the platform down in the side panel to give more clarity to the user and real time feedback on the connection steps

View analytics

Once connected, users will have a unified view of how each campaign is performing.

They can view as high level information as they prefer and go in as much detail as they want, all in one single view!
